Why is a financial contribution needed to enter a series?
PEP wants to be accessible for all photographers, including those who are working on a budget, that's why it is very important for us to keep a free entry on our open calls up to 3 images. Once the pictures from the single entries are selected for the exhibition, we ask to each artist a contribution for the printing and production costs of 29,50 euros / artwork. However, for photographers who wish to enter a body of work of more than 3 pictures, this contribution may become a bit too high for one person. That's why we would like to work with a solidarity system for the series. Each photographer makes a contribution of 15 euros at the entry, but as that money will be used to cover all the production costs to exhibit series, the photographers don't have to pay anything anymore in order to participate to the exhibition once they are selected.
